Overview

A decades long epic beginning in 1956, when a group of Chinese students go abroad to study in the USSR. Shen Yan, a Chinese student, falls in love with Valentina, a Russian student. But as tensions between their two nations grow, can they sustain their romance? The Wind Across Our World spans several decades of Sino-Soviet relations, including many tumultuous events involving the Cultural Revolution and the Sino-Soviet split.
