Zurab Kapianidze
Biography:
Zurab Kapanadze (born April 1, 1937, Nakieti village, Oni district - died July 4, 2011, Tbilisi) was a Georgian actor. People’s Artist of Georgia (1979), Laureate of the Shota Rustaveli State Prize (1985).
In 1961, he graduated from the theatrical faculty of the Shota Rustaveli State Theater Institute in Tbilisi. From 1961 to 1964, he worked at the Kutaisi Lado Meskhishvili State Drama Theater. From 1964, he was an actor at the “Georgian Film” studio.
From 1999 to 2004, he was a member of the Georgian Parliament of the 5th convocation, on the list of the electoral bloc “Revival of Georgia”.
He is prohibited from being buried in the Pantheon of Writers and Public Figures.
