Bernard Merrymel Joseph (born December 12 , 1999) is an Malayalam film director, screenwriter, producer, cinematographer and actor. Born in Pathanamthitta , Kerala Bernard was interested in filmmaking at an early age. He directed numerous music videos and short films. He made his film debut with The Last Chapter (2017), which garnered mixed reviews, followed by the Triangle (2019) . Bernard found lukewarm success with EMO (2021) and Sumathy Valav (2022), but the latter eventually became a cult classic which was better received. As a filmmaker, he passionate about creating visually stunning and emotionally engaging stories that captivate audiences.
