Biography:
Soraya Haiven Gonzalez was born on May 24, 2001 in Torrance, California. She grew up in Burbank, California for the majority of her childhood. Soraya is biracial with both Mexican and Irish roots.
Soraya graduated from California State University Northridge with a Bachelor's Degree in Film & Media Producing and a minor in Business Management. Directly out of college, Soraya focused on getting experience in the film industry and establishing connections with filmmakers across the country. With an interest in documentary filmmaking, Soraya landed a position with the Critics' Choice nominated documentary feature film "26.2 to Life", where she worked with the post production team as the Social Media Manager. Then as an Associate Producer on the award-winning documentary feature film "The Body Politic". Along with this, Soraya also assists in production for corporate events at Paramount Pictures.
As a Los Angeles native, being in the entertainment capital of the world greatly established her love for cinema and television from a young age. Some of her favorite movies include "500 Days of Summer", "The Amazing Spider-Man", "The Sixth Sense", "10 Things I Hate About You" and "The Princess and the Frog". Combining her passion for film and her knack for organization, gave way for Soraya's dream career of becoming a producer.
On January 11, 2024 Soraya joined Verloren Productions as a Producing Partner. She received her first producing credit for the short film Ucronia. Her favorite aspect of producing is being involved in a project from start to finish, as well as drafting budgets and schedules. Alongside producing partners Walt Perez & Søren Odom, many more shorts and feature films are in development.
