Singer Aftab Singh has emerged as the winner of singing reality show Rising Star by defeating other finalist, Diwakar Sharma in final.

Aftab Singh got 89% votes, while Diwakar got 82% votes in the finale. The second runner-up of Colors channel show, was Sanjay Satish with 76%.

Playback singer and music director Shankar Mahadevan and actor-singer Diljit Dosanjh return as the experts and are joined by playback singer Neeti Mohan in this season. The show was hosted by playback singer Aditya Narayan.

Singer Hemant Brijwasi has emerged as the winner of singing reality show Rising Star by defeating other finalist, Rohanpreet Singh in final.

Brijwasi got 86% votes, while Rohanpreet got 78.39% votes in the finale. The second runner-up of Colors channel show, was Vishnumaya Ramesh with 78.10%.

Rising Star is the first ever live singing reality show where the contestants woo the audiences with their singing and get immediate feedback in form of votes from them (audience) through an app designed especially for the show.

Singer Bannet Dosanjh has emerged as the winner of India’s first live singing reality show Rising Star by defeating other finalist, Maithili Thakur by just two votes.

Bannet got 77% votes, while Maithili got 76% votes in the finale. The second runner-up of Colors channel show, was Ankita Kundu.

Rising Star is the first ever live singing reality show where the contestants woo the audiences with their singing and get immediate feedback in form of votes from them (audience) through an app designed especially for the show.

Soon after his win, Bannet told reporters here, “This is unbelievable. I feel I am living a dream right now. I will live up to the title and work harder now.”
