Biography: Vladimir Vysotsky was a Soviet poet, singer-songwriter, and actor. In the course of his career, he wrote some 700 songs that were extremely popular in the USSR. He starred in 28 films, gave many concerts, and had a great influence on Soviet and Russian culture. His life has been the subject of many films and books.
